curses have a different use but the main reason i havent been studying them here is i havent found any new material to work with meanwhile theres lots of plants ive never seen before and other substances for poisons so its more interesting
Maybe you're just not looking in the right place! For example, give me a few weeks and I'll probably start getting curses on my answering machine again. I'll forward it right to you if I do ✨
Ha, no. They're probably the only ones I don't have to worry about getting curses from. Unfortunately it's tough being such a bright star; I think they call those people my "haters." I promise if I get one here, you'll be the first to know!
[ When it comes to "bright stars" obviously no one can beat Xiao Xingchen (Xue Yang's 100% unbiased opinion) but he doesn't have anyone trying to curse him, so it can't be that. Maybe it's something interesting about this guy? ]
[Which is a true enough answer that Chirpy doesn't even get mad at him, though there's some context that's missing: that he's both returning to a business where his family name is a joke, and he's a sole practitioner instead of one of the bigger clans. An easier target without much risk of retribution.]
It's at the point where I need to unplug the phone when I sleep! I haven't really figured out how to do the equivalent here, but it seems like the risk is also lower? Unless it's Chirpy who's sending the curses.
No, they're quite pedestrian. They just increase bad luck, or try to bring misfortune down upon my house, standard things like that. Little things that can expand a gap in my wards if I'm not careful. Not even any proprietary techniques to learn from. But I suppose it's better to deal with something like that than the opposite.
giving someone the food with strange effects giving someone alcohol giving someone medicine with side effects giving someone something you dont know all the effects of not fucking someone if you notice their suit is dark all of those could be poisoning depending on what you mean by it
alright fine i can do that [ Were there penalties for not fulfilling dares days and days later? If there were the were probably another of those "lose a bunch of money" things the hotel is so fond of. Oh well, it's not as if Xue Yang is actively trying to poison anyone at the moment. And he can still give poisonous substances if the poisoning isn't the point, so that's actually plenty of leeway. ] truth or dare
[Well, that's probably the best outcome he can hope for out of this, but it does make Natori more hesitant to select dare than he would be normally (and that's already pretty hesitant).]
I don't know, probably when I got possessed when I was 16 or so? It was my first time, so I let it go on for a while and get a lot stronger than it should have. Tearing it out to exorcise made me pass out afterwards.
[And it's a long and extremely shoujo story full of only feelings and relationships, not anything juicy. He somehow feels like it wouldn't interest Xue Yang. Just a hunch.]

[doing a lot of the heavy lifting!]
Just invest in studying curses instead of messing around with the flowers?

[ This is so not a sex thing for him that he doesn't even consider the possibility that the question could be about himself. ]
